The colors of death, the elegantly dressed catrinas... created by artisans from Puebla, talavera pottery is a great representative of Mexico's history. This majolica ceramic technique was introduced to Mexico by Spanish monks. The figures of the catrinas bring color to the festivities of the celebrated Day of the Dead in Mexico and in some way mock death, which will eventually come to all of us someday.
